Replacement Door Care & Maintenance
Taking Care Of Your New Kitchen & Bedroom Doors
As these are timber based products they should not be stored or fitted in a newly plastered or damp room. All doors and panels should be stored lying down on a flat surface as storing these products on an angle against a wall could encourage bowing of these products.
Vinyl Doors
Vinyl door surfaces can be cleaned using a clean soft damp cloth using warm soapy water that should be damp and not wet, once cleaned, dry off with a clean soft dry cloth. Do not use aggressive of abrasive cleaning liquids or cleaning pads I.e. Brillo Pads etc.
High Gloss Doors
Once your new doors and panels have been installed we would advise to remove the protective film. Once the film has been removed please allow 7 days before cleaning and wiping for the surface to cure. To clean the door surfaces use a soft cloth with a mild non-abrasive dishwashing detergent diluted in warm water. The mix should consist of 99% warm water and 1% detergent.
You should never use any solvents, abrasive detergents, white spirit, vinegar based detergents or furniture polish.
When polishing High Gloss doors this will leave minor scratches and some polish marks, however this is normal for this product.
We offer VuPlex cleaning product on our website which you can purchase, this is suitable for all doors especially effective on High Gloss Doors.
